10 Things We Love About the Gulf Coast of Florida

10 Things We Love About the Gulf Coast of Florida

There is a lot to love about Florida’s Gulf Coast, there’s no doubt about that. What’s on our short list of favorite things about our beloved Gulf Coast? Well, it was hard to narrow it down to a list of 10 things, but we did it. Here’s what we love, in no particular order.

1. The Gulf of Mexico beaches.

What’s not to love about glistening crystalline waters and pristine sugar-sand beaches? Nothing. In fact, we can’t get enough… and we live here! Add in a warm salty breeze, the undulating ebb and flow of the tides, breathtaking coastal views as far as the eye can see, and plenty of sunshine. That’s what you’ll find on Florida’s Gulf of Mexico beaches. Why aren’t you here?

2. The happy palm trees.Gulf Coast Palm Trees at Sunset

There is just something about palm trees. They are happy, carefree and beautiful. Palm trees are part of the quintessential tropical ambiance found here. They line the streets, the beaches and the parks. Just watching the palm fronds sway in the Florida breeze is relaxing in and of itself. Add in the muted hues of our coastal palette as the backdrop, and you’ll find yourself mesmerized by the natural beauty of the Gulf Coast and all its glory.

3. The blazing coastal sunsets.

Glowing pinks, deep purples, blazing oranges, brilliant reds and vibrant yellows set against the blues and greens of the gulf waters and the indigo Florida skies are a sight to behold. Watching the sun sink into the horizon as it ushers in the evening never gets old. Ever. It’s a different show every night. Catch as many as you can.

4. The variety of shopping.

From large shopping malls like the one at the Tampa International Airport to unique beachy shops along the Clearwater Beach main drag and John’s Pass Boardwalk in Madeira Beach to celebrity hot spots like Hogan’s Beach Shop, there’s something for everyone when it comes to shopping on the Gulf Coast of Florida. Buy something for yourself, search out that perfect souvenir or pick up something for someone special; no matter what you’re looking for, you’ll find it here.
