Birgit (pronounced beer-git) is originally from Estonia which is in eastern Europe – bordered by the Baltic Sea, and Russia to the east, and Latvia to the south. Estonia was occupied under communism since the end of World War II and finally was freed in 1991. She learned English by watching Little House on The Prairie! Birgit speaks four languages, was a schoolteacher and interpreted for many preachers in Estonia!
