    Lamar went above and beyond in every way possible. It took us nearly 2 years to find "the house". He was patient, never pushed, and was always ready and willing to show us more houses. With us being from out of state, we sought his advice in a number of areas and were always impressed with his depth of knowledge. We felt we could ask him anything and get a truthful answer. And, when there were a couple of houses we were interested in (but couldn't get to Florida to see them), Lamar offered to walk through them with us on the phone and talk through each one. He also took/sent photos so we could get more detail. We felt very comfortable by that point that he knew what we wanted and would represent the properties accurately. Ultimately, one of these houses is the one we bought, so his extra effort paid off! And, he didn't just disappear after the closing.     We met Lamar Wright when we came down from Pennsylvania to look for a retirement property in 2015. We rented a condo through Plumlee, and while we waited to pick up the keys, we stopped at Plumlee's sales office. Lamar took us out the following day to look at homes. No matter when we wanted to go to look at listings, he was right there for us. The day before we left Lamar sent us new listings, and we looked at one we liked that day and made an offer. Lamar negotiated a great deal and kept us updated when we went back to Pennsylvania. Lamar handled everything right on through the settlement process.

    In 2018 we retired and moved to our Florida home and were looking for an investment property.     I'm happy to share my experience with Lamar Wright. I had never met Lamar prior to my two real estate transactions that he managed on my behalf. The first transaction was a duplex (investment property) and the second transaction, a triplex (my primary residence) both located in Belleair Bluffs. Both properties were very near and dear to my heart and a primary source of great rental income. I discussed with Lamar the list price. These prices were aggressive, but Lamar proved to be really on top of the very hot local market.

    He accepted the challenge on each property and one by one he got the properties under contract with new buyers, virtually the same day as listed. To my delight that is when Lamar really went to work. He earned his weight in gold for his efforts in completing the transactions, coordinating inspections, and requested repairs through resources provided by Lamar. Much to my pleasure, each transaction closed above my desired sale price and Mr. Wright coordinated every detail of the sale to ensure a smooth and timely transaction. In addition, even after closing, Lamar went above what I would consider his normal responsibilities and coordinated the closing of outstanding permits that had been open and unresolved for many years prior to my ownership simply as a courtesy to myself and the new owner.

    He earned my respect as a great moral human being whose word stands as said and who goes far above and beyond the required duties of being an agent and completes the tasks necessary to close the transaction timely and honorably.

    I moved out of the area to purchase a new waterfront property with cash derived from the sale. Frankly, Lamar improved my quality of life and for that I am truly forever grateful!!     More on Lamar’s Background:

    The Wright name is well known in the northwest Georgia town of Rome. Lamar was born there and grew up nearby in the wonderful little town of Armuchee – native Indian for “river of many fish”. After graduation Lamar became a very skillful millwright which afforded him the ability to purchase property there and pay for it. Ultimately, he bought and sold properties in the area learning the real estate business from the eye of the investor.

    In those early years he became known as the “McGiver” – or fix-it guy of millwrights. He elevated his skills to an exceptional technical level to include optical alignment and mechanical, electrical specialty in mills & power plants. The pinnacle of his millwright career came when he was a construction foreman on the new power plant station in Texas Valley (Big Texas Valley Rd in Rome, GA). Upon the project’s completion Lamar was offered a great promotion to move and work on the new Denver airport project. He instead accepted a position near his hometown managing the assets for local company and its significant agricultural property.

    Lamar is an outdoorsman and animal lover so this was perfect. Riding horses has always been his hobby along with hunting fishing, hiking in the woods, and snorkeling. He is a gun enthusiast and enjoys sporting clays. His outdoor skills and common sense were particularly useful there on the farm.

    On the business side – Lamar is natural trader and bargainer so he knew helping people make the right purchase decision was in his DNA. Lamar always wanted to try his hand at sales. When a new opportunity in sales presented itself, he jumped at it. He soon learned that his soft spoken style and natural ability to build lasting relationships with people would prove to be incredibly helpful. He also found that he typically became good friends with his buyers. By listening to clients he could discover what they needed to make to a purchase work better for them. Today, he makes it a point to learn their needs and focus on solutions and financing. Lamar knows this is the right path. As a result, he has helped many customers and achieved record sales.

    As Lamar’s selling reputation and success increased, companies aggressively recruited him. Along the way Lamar set sales records and mastered these critical skills which he says are required to provide top customer care:

    About 10 years ago, Lamar realized the tremendous opportunity in real estate and made the move over to real estate development with equestrian amenities. His first undertaking was at a 5,000-acre property on Tennessee’s Cumberland Plateau.

    Then several years ago Lamar relocated to Seminole, FL to take advantage of Florida’s real estate market. He bought his first Florida home and began the search for the right real estate brokerage. He interviewed 10 Brokerages and after about a year of work selected at Plumlee Gulf Beach Realty as his broker. In his first year there Lamar achieved the Rookie of the Year and Top Producer Awards.
