One of the best things about vacationing in Indian Rocks Beach and Indian Shores is the wide range of things to do, good for an entire family or for just a couple. With a blend of small beach-town charm and big city functionality, you definitely won’t find yourself bored during your vacation. The fantastic restaurants, excellent golf courses and multiple amusement parks in the area all work together to make sure you are never bored for a minute.

If you’re the outdoors type, the beach is a wonderful spot for you. WET Jet Ski Rentals and Boat Tours offers wave runner rentals, as a great way to explore your surroundings. Or, if you want a bird’s eye view, try parasailing over the warm waters. What better time than now, really? Indian Rocks Beach and Indian Shores is a beautiful place to visit, so take advantage of it. Canoe and kayak rentals, charter boats and bicycle rentals are all available, and all are great ways to really become familiar with your vacation spot.

After spending all day out in the sand, or wading in the surf, you’re definitely going to work up an appetite. Luckily, the available restaurants offer a wide variety of cuisines that are sure to satisfy even the pickiest of eaters. TJ’s Italian Café serves authentic Italian food and desserts to die for. If you’re in to Key West-style food and a bit of night life, then come down to Jimmy Guana’s for live entertainment and a tiki bar.

Finding local shopping is definitely not an issue. International Plaza and Bay Street offers over 200 stores and restaurants. John’s Pass Village and Boardwalk is not only for shopping, but also dining, festivals and water sports-a great way to spend a whole day with the family. The Pier is an enormous shopping center with everything; charter boats, galleries, boutiques, etc.

There are many attractions in the Indian Rocks Beach and Indian Shores area, good for an entire family or for just a couple. The historic sites of Heritage Village will take you back 150 years, with performances, reenactments and trails. Collect sea sponges at Tarpon Springs, or visit ZooTampa at Lowry Park, voted #1 Family Friendly Zoo by Child Magazine. The hundred-year old Sunken Gardens offers some of the eldest tropical plant specimens in the region. Or make the drive to Busch Gardens amusement park in Tampa, for rides, restaurants, live shows and games. And don’t forget Fort DeSoto Park. It is an expansive park and historic site with one of the most beautiful natural beaches in Florida.

The Clearwater Marine Aquarium has touch tanks, as well as many exhibits.
