For Families

For Families: Indian Rocks Beach & Indian Shores

Both Indian Rocks Beach and Indian Shores offer wide, white sandy beaches and a pristine shoreline without the crowds and congestion you sometimes find at our other Gulf Coast beaches. In fact, we consider each of them an island paradise set apart from the rest because of the peace, tranquility and relaxation that can be found here. Indian Rocks Beach and Indian Shores offer a safe, family-friendly atmosphere and warm, welcoming communities.

In addition to our area festivals and events, there is plenty of family fun to be had on our Gulf of Mexico shores and in our Gulf Coast beach towns. Walk a local trail, ride the bike path, explore the Nature Preserve, shop locally, enjoy on-the-water adventures, go shelling, play in the sun, sand and surfall while being close and conveniently located to all of your favorite Gulf Coast attractions like the Clearwater Aquarium, Busch Gardens Tampa, and the Lowry Park Zoo just to name a few. There are plenty of public parks, playgrounds and beach accesses, too, making it both kid and family friendly.

For Couples

For Couples: Madeira Beach

Madeira Beach just sounds romantic, doesn’t it? Maybe it’s the mental association with an island paradise or maybe it’s the imagery of wine that comes to mind… we’re not sure. What we do know is that with its 2.5 mile stretch of barrier island shorelines, Madeira Beach is a great spot for couples.

In addition to the stunning beach, you can find everything you need and want right here. John’s Pass Village and Boardwalk offers shopping, restaurants, fishing, water sports and more all in one charming location. Check out the Florida Winery and sample their unique wine selection or get up close and personal with the gators and other marine life at The Alligator Attraction. Whatever your idea of romantic adventure is, you’re sure to find it here.

Madeira Beach has strong maritime ties as well as a history and heritage based in the fishing trade. In fact, more grouper is brought in through John’s Pass than in any other part of Florida. In addition to fabulous local seafood, be sure to check out Madeira Beach’s farmers markets for other fresh, seasonal finds.

Walk the shoreline with your sweetie and be sure to catch as many Gulf of Mexico sunsets as you are able. The sun, sand and sea are your constant companions here and you’ll love them as much as we do.

For Singles

For Singles and/or the Younger Crowd: Clearwater Beach

Clearwater Beach is a popular hot spot on the Florida’s Gulf Coast. Clearwater has been named Best Florida Beach Town by USA Today and listed in the Top 10 Beaches in Florida by the Travel Channel. Oh, it’s also currently in the running for the 10Best Readers’ Choice Award for best Florida beachand for good reason!

Clearwater Beach is situated between the sparkling waters of the Gulf of Mexico on the west and the placid waters of Tampa Bay on the east. It’s busier and more urban than the other local Gulf Coast beaches we’ve mentioned here, but if you are drawn to the hustle and bustle of beach life, than this is the place for you. The white sugary sand beaches are wide and inviting along its 3-mile stretch. Dive into a game of beach volleyball, get a bird’s eye view from a parasail, rent a jet ski, explore the shops and restaurants, or spend the evening at Pier 60.

Clearwater Beach is always a buzz with fun, local festivals and events. The Pier 60 Sugar Sand Festival is a big one this time of year. You and your friends will always find something to do to please everyone’s interests. We highly recommend it!

As springtime approaches, we hope that you are able to getaway for awhile and put your toes in the sand, splash around in the gulf waters, and settle in to your beach chair and enjoy the coastal views. Happy Spring Break!
