If you are vacationing with us over the holidays, we hope you’re happy that you traded your winter boots for flip flops and chose to play in the warm, white sand instead of the cold, wet snow. We very much prefer it. We love the peace and tranquility found on our barrier island shores and the close proximity to all of the Gulf Coast’s favorite places.

avorite places, Clearwater Beach is one of them. The Clearwater Beach Chamber of Commerce along with local sponsors are hosting free fireworks at midnight on New Year’s Eve, Tuesday, December 31. Come on out and end 2013 with a bang. This is the second annual Light It Up Clearwater Beach New Year’s Eve fireworks celebration. The light show begins at the stroke of midnight on the south end of the beach. The majestic display can be viewed from the south end and Sand Key all the way up to the north near the Sandpearl.
Grab your family, friends and a blanket, find a spot on the beach, then sink back in the sand to relax and enjoy the show. Don’t forget to bring your camera.
