Veterans Day Boat Parade at Madeira Beach
The 17th Annual Veterans Day Boat Parade is a day parade that honors veterans and active service men and women from all branches of the military. Participating in the parade shows your support for our veterans, so decorate your boat in patriotic colors and joVeterans Boat Parade at Madeira Beachin us out on the water.

The parade proceeds from just north of Tom Stuart Causeway in Madeira Beach south to Treasure Island Causeway and back. The proposed route takes boats into Boca Ciega Bay, John’s Pass, and the large canals of Capri Isles, Isle of Palms and Paradise Island. Any and all boaters are welcome to participate, so gather your family and friends, decorate your boat patriotically, and join the parade to show your appreciation for our troops.

If you’re coming to the Veterans Boat Parade as an observer, John’s Pass is a great place to be to view the decorated boats.

Armed Forces History Museum in Clearwater Opens for Veterans Day
Is there any place more appropriate to visit on Veterans Day than the Armed Forces History Museum? We don’t think so. The good news is that Clearwater’s Armed Forces History Museum is opening its doors this Veterans Day, Monday, November 11 from 10a.m. to 4p.m.

The museum is normally closed to the public on Mondays (except for Memorial Day), but in honor of the millions of veterans who have served and those who continue to serve our nation, the museum takes exception on Veterans Day. Spend Veterans Day immersed in 50,000 sq. ft. of 100,000+ authentic artifacts displayed throughout the museum where oral histories, interactive dioramas and displays bring to life the very history created by the men and women we are honoring on this important day.

No matter if it’s a holiday or just any day, Florida’s Gulf Coast is the place to be. Vacation on some of the most beautiful beaches you can find while enjoying all of our local events, attractions, and things to do. Book your Gulf Coast vacation rental and settle in to your vacation-home-away-from home. It’s the only way to travel!

We hope to see you this weekend. Let us know if you’ll be attending any of the Veterans Day events. We’d like to thank all of our veterans for their service and sacrifice. We appreciate you!
