Fall King of the Beach Fishing Tournament in Madeira Beach

Reel in the big one at the largest Kingfish tournament and festival in the country! First place takes home $50K in this highly anticipated annual event. You can register at oldsaltfishing.org. Supporters are welcome to join the fun at this three day festival hosted at Madeira Beach Recreation Park featuring marine and art vendors, a food festival with local flavor, live music, boat displays and a kids zone. Sponge Docks Seafood Festival in Tarpon Springs

The Sponge Docks Seafood Festival happens along Dodecanese Boulevard with a food court provided at 615 Hope Street. The event provides plenty of tasty choices to please everyone’s palate! There’s continuous live music offered in the food court all weekend long, featuring local and regional musicians as well as local community talent.
Historic Tarpon Springs is famous not only for the world’s finest sponges, but also for some of the best Greek restaurants, markets, and bakeries in the country.
This three day outdoor festival, hosted by The Tarpon Springs Merchant’s Association, features tons of fresh local seafood to tempt your taste buds, an arts and crafts show with up to 60 local and regional artists selling their work, continuous live music, unique retail shops and complimentary festivities for the whole family. Taste of IRB in Indian Rocks Beach

Veterans Day Boat Parade in Madeira Beach

Celebrate Veterans Day in true Gulf Coast style. The Veterans Day Parade ceremony begins at 10a.m. from the American Legion Post 273 located at 600 American Legion Drive in Madeira Beach, FL. The public is invited to both participate and watch. Boats can be entered in the parade by contacting the parade committee. Participants are encouraged to decorate their boat patriotically and join in the Veterans Day festivities. Or you can watch from the shoreline and cheer them on. Sanding Ovation’s Master’s Cup Sand Sculpting on Treasure Island

The Sanding Ovations Master’s Cup is a four day Sand Sculpting competition and Music Festival, located on the beach behind the Bilmar Beach Resort on Treasure Island, Florida. The competition is filled with ten world-renowned, professional sand sculptors from all over the globe, who create astonishing works of art using nothing but sand, water and lots of their own imagination.
Sanding Ovations is a free event held on the weekend before Thanksgiving at the Sand Sculpture Capital of Florida, Treasure Island. The annual Holiday Lights in the Gardens event is a seasonal escape into a wonderland of twinkling lights and fun entertainment. Over 1 million LED lights shining throughout the Botanical Gardens is a wonderful sight to behold with its nature-themed light display.
This is a family-friendly event with nightly entertainment, including visits with Santa Claus himself. Refreshments are available, as well as holiday-themed gifts at the Botanical Bounty Gift Shop. The event begins at 5:30p.m. each evening and a $4 suggested donation is encouraged for entry. Make it a Gulf Coast Christmas tradition for your family.
