You only need a few basic supplies for these beach crafts that you probably already have at home. From DIY mini aquariums to beach memory jars, there are plenty of crafts to get those creative juices flowing. Extend the craft by doing an quick online search and learning more about shell, animal, or beach topic. 

Sort and Identify Seashells at Home

Remember all of those seashells you and your family have collected over the years? Pull them out and let your kids sort and identify them. Extend the activity even further by having your school-aged children make labels or draw their own shell identification chart. 

Try Easy Beach Science Experiments at Home

Bring beach science into your home while having fun experimenting! Learn about water currents, make your own jellyfish in a bottle, and try some sand slime—just to name a few of the fun activities you can do with your kids. Learning more about the beach is always a good idea!

Why not plan a beach movie night at home with all the fixings? Make it extra special by letting your kids create tickets, set up a popcorn bar, and arrange some special seating in your living room. You don’t have to be at the beach to have a beach scavenger hunt! Create a quick and easy scavenger hunt for the kids that have them searching for all the things you’d bring to or find at the beach: a bottle of sunscreen, a beach towel, a seashell, sunglasses, a flip-flop, and so on.
