3 Beach Hairstyles That Are Easy, Breezy and Beautiful

Beach Hairstyles

Sometimes you need a little beach hair inspiration—ways to quickly and easily style your hair while maintaining both form and function for your days out in the sun and sand. What to do? Try these three beach hairstyles that are easy, breezy and beautiful during your next Gulf beach vacation. You’re sure to be stylish and set for long days out in the natural elements. All of these looks can be created within a matter of minutes and without a lot of styling tools or accessories. You will need to have a blowdryer, your favorite hair texturizer and a few bobby pins on-hand. That’s it! Try one or try all three beach hairstyles and let us know which one worked best for you.

5-Minute Beach WavesBeach Waves

Forget the curling wand and instead get flowing beach waves in a matter of minutes. How? Easy.
  1. Use your favorite texturizing product on damp hair.
  2. Divide your hair in half and roll each section away from your face.
  3. Use a blowdryer to blast the twist of hair until dry.
  4. Repeat on the other side.

You’ll end up with perfectly undone waves just right for the beach. This technique is also a wonderful way to add volume to limp hair or to smooth unruly wavy or curly hair into submission.

2-Step UpdoUpdo

Are you looking for a quick and easy updo that works well on a breezy beach day? The 2-step updo is just for you. Updos don’t have to be complicated. This one is so simple while being both beautiful and functional. It keeps the hair out of your face and off your neck, so it looks and feels good when you’re out in the elements.
  1. Start by splitting your hair into two equal sections, and then wind your strands into a thick twist.
  2. Roll up the twist to form a doughnut shape at the nape of your neck. Pin up the twist with bobby pins at the top, at the bottom, and on both sides. Carefully pull style to thicken the bun.

That’s it! A simple chignon in under two minutes flat. It doesn’t get much quicker or easier than that.

3. No-Crease PonytailPonytail

Sometimes you want to pull your hair back on the beach, but you don’t want to use a hair tie which of course leaves a noticeable crease across your hair. This is especially true if you’re planning to go out on the town later and want to wear your hair down. What to do? Enter the no-crease ponytail. It keeps your hair tied back without an elastic hair tie, so when you take it back down it still looks great using a couple strands of your own lovely locks to do it.
  1. Gather two small sections of hair right behind the ears and knot around your pony.
  2. Stick in one bobby pin at the base to keep your style from unraveling.

Then when you’re ready to let your hair back down again, you can easily loosen the knot and you’re good to go. Simple and stylish; no hair tie required.
