Indian Rocks Beach Celebrates the Holiday Season

The Thanksgiving holiday has passed and Indian Rocks Beach is preparing for the remainder of the holiday season with activities to get you in the holiday spirit. This weekend the annual IRB Holiday Tree Lighting and Holiday Street Parade fill the community, streets and beaches with the sights and sounds of the season.

The Indian Rocks Beach Holiday Tree Lighting takes place this Friday, December 6 at 7p.m. The 12th Avenue Park on Gulf Boulevard is the place to be. Join in the fun with your family, friends and the IRB community. Bring a mug and enjoy hot chocolate, cookies and carolers at this holiday event. The event is free and everyone is welcome.
Indian Rocks Beach Holiday Street Parade
The Holiday Street Parade in Indian Rocks Beach takes place this Sunday, December 8 at 1p.m. Citizens, groups and organizations are featured in the parade lineup, which converges at the intersection of Fourth Avenue and Second Street at noon. The parade begins at 1p.m. and weaves throughout the town, then ending at Kolb Park.

The parade features local merchants, small floats and holiday music. Bring a lawn chair and get ready to catch everything from candy and dog biscuits to ad specialties and beads as the parade makes its way around town. Be sure to look out for the Plumlee float! Stay around after the parade as the city hosts its annual children’s holiday party in the civic auditorium on Bay Palm Boulevard. All are welcome and attendance is free.
