The Best Reasons Why Indian Rocks Beach is the Perfect Pandemic Getaway

The Best Reasons Why Indian Rocks Beach is the Perfect Pandemic Getaway

This year of uncertainty is winding down. Congratulations on surviving a difficult year—we know it’s been a challenging one on so many levels. Here’s a quick question for you. Have you used your vacation time yet? It’s not too late! Or perhaps you’re thinking about planning a post-holiday escape in the new year. Whatever your situation, just know that Indian Rocks Beach, Florida is the perfect place to plan your pandemic getaway (literally and figuratively). Here are top 15 reasons that will convince you to book your Indian Rocks Beach rental right away.

1. You can be safely isolated in your Indian Rocks Beach rental.

Your Indian Rocks Beach rental is your own private oasis where you can feel safe, secure and have peace of mind. This is your vacation-home-away-from-home and from the moment you arrive, your health and safety is our top priority—as well as providing you a great Florida Gulf beach vacation experience, of course. You’re in good hands.

2. Plumlee Vacation Rentals is taking extra steps to keep you safe.

Plumlee Vacation Rentals has not only been meeting but exceeding health and safety standards from the very beginning. For example, we have our own commercial laundry on the premises. Since reopening in May 2020, Plumlee Vacation Rentals made a major investment to purchase additional bed linens. Now all bed linens, including coverlets and blankets, are professionally laundered between check-ins. We have housekeeping standards, are members of Vacation Rentals Housekeeping Professionals, and are following CDC and local guidelines. During check-in we allow one person per party to come inside the office. Masks are required to come inside. Social distancing is also required. Free masks and hand sanitizer are available at the entrance.

3. Enjoy beautiful views of the Gulf of Mexico from your private balcony.

Many of our Indian Rocks Beach condo rentals have large, private balconies where you can soak up all the coastal beauty from your own personal space. Panoramic views of the Gulf of Mexico and its white sugar sand beaches come standard with your Gulf Front rental, so get ready to sip your morning coffee while you wake up to the beach, and spend your evenings watching the sunset into the horizon line of the Gulf waters. The best!

4. Prepare your own meals in your fully equipped vacation rental kitchen.

Indian Rocks Beach rentals come with a fully equipped kitchen making it easy for you to stay in and dine in whenever you want. You can also have your groceries delivered right to your rental, saving you time and a trip to the grocery store during your vacation. If you don’t feel like cooking, you can have food delivered from our local restaurants to your doorstep.

5. Local restaurants are set up for social distancing, take-out & delivery.

Speaking of our local restaurants, they are set up for social distancing if you choose to dine in—and many offer outdoor seating options too. They’re also providing take-out and delivery services if you prefer to stay in and still enjoy all the local flavor from your favorite Indian Rocks Beach restaurants. Read more about your many delicious Indian Rocks Beach dining options here.

6. Work or school remotely while enjoying a change of scenery.

It’s been a year of change and adjustment for all of us, but one of the benefits that has come out of it is the increased flexibility to work and school from anywhere. So why not learn and work here? The change of scenery is good for you! Read more about our favorite homeschool and educational adventures you can have during your Indian Rocks Beach vacation.

7. Pinellas County has a mask mandate so you can feel safe getting around town.

If you’re wondering about what to expect when you get here, there is a mask mandate in effect in Pinellas County. You can read all of the Face Covering Frequently Asked Questions here, so you know when and where you should wear them. Social distancing is encouraged also, whenever possible.

8. The beaches encourage social distancing.

The City of Indian Rocks Beach and its community are working together to encourage social distancing (that’s pretty easy at the beach when there’s plenty of room to spread out, and there’s not as many people on the beaches right now). There is also a limit on gatherings of groups of people to no more than 10 for everyone’s health and safety. We know our visitors, vacationers and guests will respect these guidelines, so we thank you in advance for that.

9. The gorgeous Gulf Coast of Florida makes it easy to be outside more.

Fresh air and sunshine are good for you—and there’s plenty of both here in The Sunshine State—so you can get outside more. Of course there’s always the beach, but there are also nearby parks like the Florida Botanical Gardens, Heritage Village, the IRB Nature Preserve, and McGough Park. Get out there and explore more! Read more about these local natural treasures here.

10. Free Plumlee day bike rentals are available for our guests.

We encourage our guests to have fun, be active, and experience Indian Rocks Beach in as many ways as possible. That’s why we offer free bike rentals for the day to our guests as one of our Plumlee Perks. Pedal your way around town and see the sights while getting some exercise, too. When is the last time you took a family bike ride? Make sure you do it while you’re here.

11. Public tennis courts & pickleball courts are available in Indian Rocks Beach and Indian Shores.

Take advantage of all the free opportunities to get outdoors and get some exercise, sunshine and fresh air. Public tennis courts and pickleball courts are a fun way to get that heart rate up and brush up on your skills or learn some new ones. 12. The beautiful sunny winter weather is hard to beat.

If 70 degrees and sunny sounds like your kind of winter, then Indian Rocks Beach is the place for you! Fill up on sunshine, fresh air, coastal breezes and forget about all that cold, wet, white stuff that comes with winter in many other places around the country. Besides, building a sandman is way more fun than building a snowman!

13. Escape reality for a while at a fun Florida attraction like Busch Gardens.

Get your mind off of life for a while and get that adrenaline pumping! Our Florida Gulf Coast attractions have safety precautions in place and are open for business. They have mask and social distancing requirements. The number of visitors in the parks have daily limits. There are plenty of things to see and do outside.
