Indian Rocks Beach Holiday Tree LightingBoat Holiday Ornament

Slip on your flip flops and come out to 12th Avenue Park on Gulf Boulevard in Indian Rocks Beach. Don't forget to grab your favorite holiday mug! There is hot chocolate, cookies, carolers and more for you to enjoy during the IRB Holiday Tree Lighting event.

This is a an annual favorite here in Indian Rocks Beach that marks the official start of the holiday season. It is also a wonderful way to get into the holiday spirit. It's free to everyone and begins at 7p.m. on Friday, December 4. Bring your family, bring your friends!

Indian Rocks Beach Holiday Street Parade

Following the lighting of the tree, the holiday spirit soars as you get ready for the next big holiday event in Indian Rocks Beach that same weekend. The IRB Holiday Street Parade on Sunday, December 6 promises a classic street parade to delight both young and old.

The parade lineup begins gathering along East Gulf Boulevard and starts weaving its way through each of the fingers of IRB beginning at 1p.m.
The parade finishes up at Kolb Park on Bay Palm Boulevard.

After the IRB Holiday Parade, bring the kids over to the Civic Auditorium for an all-out celebration at the IRB Children's Holiday Party hosted by the city. There are refreshments, snacks and more. 

The parade is the quintessential Christmas on the coast celebration. It's free, fun and festive.

Indian Rocks Beach Holiday Lighted Boat Parade

This IRB holiday event lights up the night on Saturday, December 19. The lineup for the 29th Annual IRB Holiday Lighted Boat Parade begins at 6:45p.m. The festival procession heads north from the Holiday Inn Harbourside dock, under the Walsingham Bridge, and finishes at the north end of the city limits off Harbor Drive North.

There are plenty of prizes and awards to be had, and the boat decor is amazing. Must see!

Holiday Lights at Florida's Botanical Gardens

What are the holidays without the glimmering, shimmering and twinkling of a fabulous light show? Set in the gorgeous setting of the 35-acre Florida Botanical Gardens, Holiday Lights in the Gardens features over 750,000 lights (whoa!), seasonal refreshments, live entertainment and appearances by the big, bearded guy himself.

There's also a Gift and Plant Sale and Dog Parade during the month-long event. The Holiday Lights in the Gardens runs nightly from 5:30-9:30p.m. from November 27 through December 31. Free parking is available and a $4 donation is very much appreciated.

Christmas Town at Busch Gardens Tampa

Who knew that Tampa could be transformed into a winter wonderland? You'll be transported into a Christmas celebration which includes all of your favorite sights, sounds and flavors of the holiday season that you know and love. You'll see twinkling lights around every corner, hear festive live music, sample tasty holiday treats, and opportunities to shop 'til you drop.

The best part is that Christmas Town at Busch Gardens Tampa is now free and included in your park admission! It is definitely a family holiday tradition in the making. Christmas Town runs on select dates from November 27 through December 31.

Holidays at the Village in Heritage Village

Travel back in time and celebrate the Christmas season in true historic fashion. Pinellas County's Heritage Village offers an enchanting glimpse of life in the mid-19th century. Holidays at the Village showcases historical houses decorated just as they were in the 1800s. True to their period, locality and lifestyle, explore 21 acres of living history and see everything from elaborately decorated Victorian homes to simply adorned log cabins, and everything in between.

Holidays at the Village runs from November 28 through January 4. Heritage Village is open Wednesday through Sunday (closed on Mondays, Tuesdays and holidays). Admission is free and donations are welcomed. Make local history part of your family's holiday tradition this year.
