The Best Ways to Celebrate the 4th of July on Florida's Gulf Coast


It's that time of year to start making your July 4th plans! Here on Florida's Gulf Coast, there are plenty of options for your Independence Day celebration. Where you choose is up to you, but here are the best places to catch 4th of July fireworks, fun and more near Indian Rocks Beach and Indian Shores. The Best July 4th Celebrations on Florida's Gulf Coast


Redington Shores 4th of July Fireworks

Redington Shores is just a hop, skip and a jump from Indian Rocks Beach and Indian Shores. Pinellas County Park located at 18120 Gulf Boulevard is the place to be for this July 4th fireworks show slated for dusk (around 9p.m.). The small beach town of Redington Shores offers some of the best fireworks on the beach! Best of all—they're free.

Madeira Beach Roc'n the Park Music Festival & Fireworks Spectacular

Madeira Beach celebrates Independence Day at their new recreation and event field located at 200 Rex Road. Head to the beach first where the celebration starts at 3p.m. You'll find live music, food and drink vendors, a pizza-eating contest, and a splash pad for kids at this family-friendly event. The fireworks display starts at 9:30p.m. at the City of Madeira Recreation Center. Busing and parking information is available here. VIP packages are also available! City of Largo 4th of July Celebration

The City of Largo hosts a 4th of July celebration free-of-charge at Largo Central Park at 101 Central Park Drive beginning at 6p.m. Independence Day activities include an all-American pie-eating contest, t-shirt decorating ($5), watermelon seed-spitting contest, inflatable activities ($10 wristband), DJ music, games and plenty of food vendors. The July 4th fireworks begin at 9:15p.m. On-site parking is available for $5.

Clearwater Celebrates America on July 4th

Tampa Bay's largest fireworks display happens each year at downtown Clearwater's Coachman Park located at 301 Drew Street. Gates open at 4p.m., the Stars and Squirts Kid Zone runs from 5-9p.m., the Declaration of Independence Reading happens at 6:45p.m., Coachman Park Pops features the Wilsons at 7:30p.m., and the fireworks light up the night sky at 9:30p.m. You can read more about the Clearwater 4th of July celebration and fireworks here.
