Summer on the Gulf Coast of Florida, including Indian Rocks and Indian Shores beaches has average high temperatures in the mid-80s (Fahrenheit) to low 90s, with average lows in the 70s.
The Gulf of Mexico water temperatures during the summer season tend meander around the low to mid-80s (Fahrenheit).
Sea turtle nesting and hatching seasons begins May 1 and continues through October 31 in Indian Rocks and Indian Shores beaches.

The City of Indian Rocks Beach hosts its annual Flag Day Ceremony each June 14 at Chic-A-Si Park. The annual ceremony serves to honor the American flag, as well as collect those which have become torn and tattered in service of the country. Flags may be dropped off at City Hall in IRB. A complimentary lunch follows the program.
