Posted On Tuesday, September 29, 2015
October is rolling in and you know what that means: Oktoberfest! There are many places worldwide that celebrate this German-style festival, but have you ever attended Oktoberfest on the Beach in Indian Rocks Beach? You should! Saturday, October 10, at Kolb Park in IRB is where you'll find all of this year's beachy, Bavarian-style festivities. Join us from 11a.m. to 7p.m.
Here's what you can expect at Oktoberfest on the Beach in Indian Rocks Beach.
Beer, BabyWhy of course it's about the beer! That is a huge part of Oktoberfest anywhere. Indulge in your favorite brew or try something new. If you're not a beer drinker, there's wine at the fest, too (but that's not really how you're supposed to do it). Don't forget to bring your ID with you.
Stein Carrying & Keg ThrowingWhere else are you going to find stein-carrying competitions and keg-throwing events? Oktoberfest competitions are uniquely festive and entertaining. Must-see events, really. Contest start times are at 2:30p.m. and 3:30p.m.
Kinderfest for the KiddosPlumlee Realty is happy to be sponsoring the Kinderfest area again this year from 11a.m. to 2p.m. Bring the kids and let them join in the celebration. Stop by and see us!
Benefits the IRB CommunityThis signature event for the IRB community helps raise funds for non-profit Action 2000 (A2K). Oktoberfest proceeds have allowed A2K to jointly fund several City streetscaping projects as well as pedestrian benches and shelters along Gulf Boulevard. So you're really having fun for a great cause.
FREE Fun in the SunIt may be autumn and it may be Oktoberfest, but this fall event is touched with Gulf Coast flair. Spend a fun day in the Florida sun, while still enjoying all of the seasonal elements of Oktoberfest found elsewhere. Beer and beach, how bad can that be?
