October on Florida's Gulf Coast is ushered in by cool beats, smooth rhythms and smokin' hot performances at the annual Clearwater Jazz Holiday at Coachman Park. What could be better than some of the best musical performances set against the stunning backdrop of the Gulf of Mexico? Not much.

What's happening at this 4-day, 4-night festival? A lot. Read on to find out what you need to know about this year's Jazz Holiday, which runs October 15-18.

Legends & Greats

Celebrating its 36th year in 2015, the Clearwater Jazz Holiday has hosted some of the best of the best when it comes to legendary names and unforgettable performances. You may recognize a few of them: Woody Herman, Buddy Rich, Dizzy Gillespie, Herbie Mann, Dave Brubeck, Tito Puente, Stephan Grappelli, Stan Getz, and the Count Basie Orchestra. Some other contemporary legends recently gracing the stage include Tony Bennett, Earth, Wind & Fire, Chicago, Bonnie Raitt, The Neville Brothers, Chick Corea, Tower of Power, Dr. John, Little Feat, George Benson, Herbie Hancock, Stanley Clarke, Kenny G, Poncho Sanchez, Natalie Cole, Paquito D'Rivera, and Jean-Luc Ponty.

Get ready to groove. This year's lineup features Gladys Knight and The O'Jays on Thursday, October 15. Friday brings Buddy Guy and Poncho Sanchez & His Latin Band. Saturday the stages rocks with Sheryl Crow and Big Sam's Funky Nation. The music festival winds up on Sunday with the sounds of Langhorne Slim & The Law and The Avett Brothers. The Clearwater Jazz Holiday offers a menu of modern day musical styles and diversity among its performances. You'll find samplings of straight ahead and smooth jazz, swing, blues, jamband, folk, Americana, funk, and Zydeco in the mix. Be ready to experience a new generation of innovators and stars along with all of your well-known favorites. Enjoy local and regional talent, too.

  • Daily, weekend and 4-day ticketing options are available.
  • Kids 12 & under are admitted free of charge.
  • VIP credentials and ticketing are available.
  • After-party happens at the Capitol Theatre on Friday evening.
  • Coachman Park is an open air venue adjacent to the Intracoastal Waterway. General Admission in Coachman Park is festival-style lawn seating, so bring a chair or blanket to sit on.  (Reserved Seating & VIP ticket holders do not need to bring a chair.)
  • Food & drink vendors are available onsite; outside food and drink is not allowed.
  • Parking is available at downtown garages, metered street parking, and specified lots.
  • Pets are not permitted at the festival.
