Light up your life this holiday season in true Gulf Coast style by joining us for holiday boat parades held in many of our favorite Florida beach towns. Lighted boat parades are a signature coastal celebration that bring holiday cheer to all. Haven’t been to one? It’s time to change that.
Here are our favorite Gulf Coast holiday boat parades found in and around Indian Rocks Beach and Indian Shores throughout the month of December, in chronological order for your planning convenience. You’re welcome!
Clearwater Holiday Lighted Boat Parade
- When: Saturday, December 12, 2015 at 6:30p.m.
- Where: Coachman Park, Clearwater
The Clearwater Holiday Lighted Boat Parade lineup begins at 6p.m. in Mandalay Channel located between Island Estates and Clearwater Beach. At 6:30p.m. the festively decorated boats proceed northward through Mandalay Channel, weaving in and out of many of the Island Estate canals before heading over to Coachman Park around 8p.m. From there the boats travel under the Memorial Causeway Bridge turning into the Clearwater Marina Channel before navigating to the Clearwater Yacht Club. Cash and gift certificate prizes donated by area businesses are awarded to the best decorated boats.
Madeira Beach Holiday Boat Parade & ROC Park Concert
- When: Saturday, December 12, 2015 at 6:30p.m.
- Where: John’s Pass, Madeira Beach
The Madeira Beach Holiday Boat Parade lights up the Gulf Coast waterways in a style all its own. The parade kicks off behind the Madeira Beach Recreation Center at 6:30p.m. and ends at John’s Pass Village.
Indian Rocks Beach Holiday Lighted Boat Parade
- When: Saturday, December 19, 2015 at 7p.m.
- Where: Holiday Inn Harbourside, IRB
The lineup for the 29th Annual IRB Holiday Lighted Boat Parade begins at 6:45p.m. The festival procession heads north from the Holiday Inn Harbourside dock, under the Walsingham Bridge, and finishes at the north end of the city limits off Harbor Drive North.
Redington Beach & Indian Shores Holiday Boat Parade
- When: Sunday, December 20, 2015 at 6p.m.
- Where: Tom Stuart Causeway
The Redington Beach and Indian Shores Holiday Boat Parade procession begins at 6p.m. at the Tom Stuart Causeway and continues until about 9p.m. finishing up at The Pub Waterfront Restaurant in Indian Shores. Prizes are awarded after the lighted boat parade at The Pub. The holiday spirit is reflected both off our local waters and on our participating boats. Don’t miss it!
