Our Favorite Fourth of July Celebrations on Florida’s Gulf Coast

Florida Gulf Coast FireworksLast week we touched on some of the Independence Day celebrations occurring along the Gulf Coast. They are some of our favorites, so we’d like to tell you more about them. The hardest part will be deciding where to spend your July 4th. There are so many great options.

Now, back to the Fourth of July festivities. Here’s the scoop!

Clearwater July 4th Celebration
The Clearwater July 4th Celebration at Coachman Park begins at 4p.m. Known as “Spark the Sky”, this year’s Coachman Park in Clearwatercelebration is sponsored by Clearwater Gas and boasts the largest fireworks show in the Tampa Bay area. The fireworks display happens right over the water in Clearwater Bay.

This free, family-friendly event features games, performers, a mascot parade and more. There is a ton of fun for the kids. Bring them to Radio Disney at the Natalie’s Juice Kid’s Zone from 5-9p.m. and see for yourself. Entertainment for the evening includes the Mostly Pops Orchestra featuring the Wilsons. The performance begins at 7:30p.m. The night finishes out with the grand fireworks display at 9:30p.m. Don’t miss it!

Largo July 4th Celebration
The Largo July 4th Celebration occurs at Largo Central Park from 6-10p.m. Come out to enjoy the Independence DayLargo July 4 Celebration activities which include a DJ, fabulous food and lively entertainment. The park offers a nice selection of food and drink concessions to satisfy every appetite.

The evening starts out with DJ entertainment by Phil Pasek of Fast Breaks Entertainment at 6p.m. and a scheduled performance by Francesca Giorgianni at 6:15p.m. At 7:30p.m. Carmen Brandy takes the stage. She is a 14-year-old singer, songwriter and guitarist. She has performed regionally at over 70 locations including Nashville, Orlando and Clearwater and is a local favorite. She won the Largo Teen Idol Contest and is currently listed #3 on the Reverbnation country music charts locally. Her performance is a must-see! The night wraps up with the fireworks show beginning at 9:15p.m.

This free event offers fun for the entire family. There is limited on-site parking available for $5. Park and walk from Largo Middle School and Largo High School, but please do not park in the surrounding neighborhoods.

Madeira Beach July 4th Fest
Madeira Beach July 4th Fest runs all day at the Archibald Park Beach Access from 8a.m to 10p.m. The fest is Madeira Beach Jul 4th Festjam-packed with fun for the whole family. Enjoy free concerts, bands and live music throughout the day. Other highlights include the biggest Tiki Bar on the sand, beer buckets and frozen cocktails, food vendors featuring All-American favorites and seafood, and so much more. The kids love the aqua bubbles and slide, hula hoop contests and gyrosphere. Finish off the night with the fireworks extravaganza beginning at 9p.m.

The Madeira Beach July 4th fest is a free event offering the largest fireworks show on the beaches. All day parking is available for $10 across the beach at Madeira Beach Recreation Park Rex Place with free shuttle service to the beach all day. (Please note that no outside alcohol or fireworks are permitted and all bags are subject to being searched.)

Redington Shores Fourth of July Fireworks
The Redington Shores July 4th Celebration is held at the Pinellas County Park Redington Shores Beach Access on Gulf Boulevard. Fireworks begin at dusk (around 9p.m.). Redington Shores is located midway between Clearwater and St. Pete Beach. The best part is that Redington Shores is located right next to Indian Shores, allowing for beach views of the fireworks show right in front of many of Plumlee Gulf Beach Realty’s condos. No driving required!
