Calling all beach lovers! This is the event for you. Bring your lawn chairs and beach blankets and get comfortable on the warm sandy shores of Indian Rocks Beach. This Saturday, April 27 from 5-10p.m., the Indian Rocks Beach Homeowners Association and the City of Indian Rocks Beach present the 2013 Biggest Beach Party Ever at the Indian Rocks Beach County Park on 1700 Gulf Boulevard, right across from Guppy’s.
If you’re enjoying your Gulf beach vacation in Indian Rocks Beach or Indian Shores, gather up your family and friends and meet up with the locals to celebrate and enjoy one of our greatest treasures here: the beach! Admission to the Beach Party is free and so is the fantastic view of a Gulf beach sunset. Local sponsors provide lots of beer, wine, food and live music right on the beach. Best of all, your food and drink purchases help benefit the local community with the funds going directly back in to citywide projects and causes. Since there are plenty of food and refreshments to choose from, there’s no need to bring a cooler.
You’ll find some of the best food on the beach by local food vendors including Crabby Bill’s, the Red Lion Pub, Pajano’s Pizza, and Keegan’s Seafood Grille. In addition to the fabulous fare, you’ll find a wide selection of wine, beer and soft drinks. Water is available for purchase, too.
Live music this year is provided by The Black Honkeys, chosen as the Readers’ Pick for Best of the Bay in 2010 for best local soul, R&B and funk act. This local band is known for their feel good Motown soul music. In addition to cover songs from popular names like Three Dog Night, James Brown, Marvin Gaye and The Temptations, The Black Honkeys also write and perform original music that’s sure to please.
As you enjoy the Beach Party, don’t forget to purchase your raffle tickets for the chance to win a Pelican Flow 106 standup paddleboard from Watersports West. Raffle tickets are $3 each or 2 for $5. What a deal!
