Clearwater Sea-Blues Festival & More on the Gulf Coast

The Clearwater Sea-Blues Festival

Located on the bay at beautiful Coachman Park overlooking the stunning Clearwater Harbor Marina, The Clearwater Sea-Blues Festival offers a weekend packed with music that any blues aficionado would appreciate. A nice complement to the fabulous music is the mouthwatering fare. Bring your appetite for some of your seafood favorites, whether it’s conch fritters or she-crab soup. The festival runs from Friday, February 15 through Sunday, February 17.

The Clearwater Sea-Blues Festival kicks off with the Blues Walk on Friday from 6:30-10p.m. The Cleveland Street District and its local businesses offer lives blues musicians as well as themed specials centered around the festival. Be sure to fill out the comment cards at each of the locations you visit for a chance to win 2 VIP passes and a Meet & Greet with your favorite Sea-Blues artists. Some of the restaurants featuring live music that evening include the Capitol Beer House, The Sage, Chiang Mai, Street Side Cafe and live music right on Cleveland Street.

Concert at Coachman Park in ClearwaterGates open on Saturday at noon with performances beginning around 12:45p.m. Performers slated for this day include Grammy-award-winning Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Sugar Blue, The Lee Boys, Hamilton Loomis and Sandy Atkinson. Gates open Sunday at 1p.m. and performances begin around 1:15p.m. Scheduled performers include Coco Montoya, Ruthie Foster, Moreland & Arbuckle, Trampled Underfoot and Selwyn Birchwood.

Winterfest in Indian Rocks Beach

Winterfest is a community event which celebrates just that: the community and its gorgeous surroundings. It’s a day when everyone comes together to enjoy food, fun, family and friends. This annual event occurs each year on Presidents’ Day weekend with a patriotic children’s parade in the morning and a patriotic pet parade in the afternoon. There are also plenty of arts and crafts, live entertainment, activities for the kids, street fare, beer and more. Winterfest proceeds benefit the Beach Community Food Pantry and the Indian Rocks Volunteer Fireman’s Association.
